Female Merlin at Oare Marshes, Kent. Very unusual to get so close to this wonderful bird of prey. I and many other bird watchers managed to get within a couple of metres. She had an injured right foot and her right eyebrow feathers appeared raised, so maybe she had an accident(?) She could still fly very well. Enjoy this birds-eye view! http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdg… http://www.kentwildlifetrust.org.uk/r… Category Pets & Animals
