Burrowing Owls Arrive in Paulden!
Prescott Audubon is excited to report that the Burrowing Owl relocation project is going well, thanks to Prescott National Forest, Audubon SW, Wild at Heart, and the many folks who volunteered to set up the burrows with protective tents and to feed the owls. The project had two phases: creating artificial burrows & setting up tents over the burrows, and then feeding the owls for a minimum of five weeks. For an update on the successful progress of this effort, read our August Newsletter HERE .
We want to thank the volunteers who committed to visiting this site in Paulden many times in hopes of establsihing a new home for these wonderful little owls.
